During the AGM, elections for the below committee roles will take place. All parents are automatically members of the PTA & therefore entitled to stand and vote for committee roles. If you would like to stand for any of these roles, please inform Mrs Sharon Bowen in the academy office by Midday on 22nd October.

The PTA at St Michael’s has been supporting the school for over 20 years in fundraising and event hosting . Our current PTA is made up of any parents who have children in the school or nursery. Meeting regularly to discuss , organise and plan events, alongside the school and teachers .
Recently, funds raised by the PTA have enabled the academy to purchase the following for our main playground; game zone printing, benches, signs, bins, buddy stop. The Early Years’ playground had a face lift too this year with thanks to the PTA and support of many parents to make this space a vibrant learning environment. In addition, 3 of the new 15 ipads have and will continue to be funded by the funds raised by the PTA.
In previous years PTA funds raised has enabled the school to purchase the Trim trail climbing equipment ,the statue of our Lady Mary and numerous books to support the changing curriculum. The PTA have also purchased for all school leavers , a bible to take with them on their journey into secondary school. A trip to the cinema to watch Paddington Bear and our 50th Birthday celebrations were also supported by the PTA.
Fundraising events such as cake sales, discos and our annual summer fair take place throughout the school calendar and we are always seeking new opinions , ideas and friends to help support our work. Meeting times are advertised through the school via letters and the text messaging system , all are welcome to attend and we look forward to welcoming you at our next meeting.
